Returns & Refunds

Do you exchange and/or refund?

For exchanges or returns when it comes to a change of mind or incorrect choice, Buy My Things will happily exchange, refund or store credit any undamaged item(s) less delivery fee if they are returned to us within 30 days of making your purchase. When returning this to us you must ensure the product and packaging is returned in the same condition as you received it. We have a $15.95 prepaid return label you can purchase from us. This policy applies to customers in Australia only. Please allow up to 3-5 Business days for your return to be processed.

What is your return policy for change of mind or incorrect choice?

For exchanges for change of mind purchases or incorrect choice, Buy My Things will exchange or refund any undamaged item only if returned within 30 days of purchase, and as long as the purchased is returned in its original condition including its packaging. Delivery and handling charges on returns are not refunded for incorrect choice, and are to be returned to us at the customer's cost and risk.

How do I make a return?

Step 3: Visit your nearest Australia Post outlet to send your parcel. Please allow up to 3-5 Business days for your return to be processed.

Please note, if your item is faulty do not send it back unless we have instructed you to do so.

Is my credit card information secure?

Shopping online with Buy My Things is as safe, if not safer, than shopping at an actual store. This site uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the latest industry standard encryption, to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of your credit card information under our control. In the same way department stores use EFTPOS terminals to process credit card transactions, Buy My Things uses eWay and the St George Bank's secure payment systems to process credit card payments via the EFTPOS system.

What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is a payment method that allows you to make your order instantly while dividing the purchase amount into fortnightly payments. The minimum cart value for an Afterpay purchase is $80.00 and $1500.00 is the maximum (excluding shipping). Cannot be used for any purchase where a price match is approved. Why was I charged with wrong amount in my order?

The item that you selected might incur a shipping surcharge or bulky fee. These charges will be reflected at your order summary prior making payment. You can also check if the product that you wish to buy carries any shipping surcharges by entering your postcode on the product page.

Do you keep my credit card details?

Your security is important to us and we take it very seriously. Every credit card transaction occurs within a secure environment. We do not retain your credit card information after your order is completed; it is submitted directly to our banks.

Where can I request an official receipt?

You will receive a confirmation email upon ordering but if you require a Tax Invoice please email [email protected] (link sends e-mail) with your order number and we will happily supply this for you. Please include your order number in the email to ensure we send the correct invoice for you.

Shipping & Delivery

How does shipping work?

We have free shipping for orders over $150 or flat rate standard shipping of $8.95. If you’re located in Sydney you can opt to collect from our warehouse in Mt Kuring-Gai.

I ordered something recently but haven’t received it yet…

Please note - If you combined an order for something that was in stock with something that was a pre-order, we’ll wait until the pre-order item has arrived before despatching your whole order. If you just can’t wait anymore, contact us and you can split the items (additional postage charges will apply).

I ordered something that was on pre-order, can I get an update on when it is arriving?

Please check the email we sent when you ordered, it will have the expected date of dispatch outlined. If this date has passed please email [email protected] (link sends e-mail) so we can check the order status for you.

What pick up locations do you have?

Pick up is available for FREE from our warehouse in Mount Kuring-gai NSW.

Can i order from overseas and get it sent to an Australian address?

Yes! At checkout in the billing address details, simply enter your details and then select Australia as the billing country.

Do you ship items overseas?

We currently ship items to any address within Australia only. If you would like a quote for shipping to another country please contact us (link sends e-mail) to arrange or submit your details here.

Can I add items to an order I have already placed?

All processed orders cannot be changed, amended or cancelled once they have been dispatched from our warehouse or after 2 hours of placing your order. Please check your order confirmation email carefully which will be sent to your nominated email address to ensure all information is correct. Should you need to make any changes to your order Buy My Things must be notified within 2 hours of placing your order by calling 1300 394 833 or emailing [email protected]. After the 2 hours time frame no changes or cancellations are permitted as it creates delays within our warehouse and affects our process in dispatching orders promptly. We thank you for your understanding.

How do I place an order?

Add the items you would like to buy to your Shopping Cart by clicking ‘Add to Cart’. You can either keep shopping for more items or go to the Shopping Cart where you will be asked to confirm the items in your Shopping Cart and then Proceed to Checkout. The Easy One Page Checkout asks for your Billing Address, Shipping Method and Payment Method.

How do I use a discount coupon code?

You can enter the coupon code either on the Shopping Cart page or on the Easy One Page Checkout and click ‘Apply Coupon’. You will see the discount applied when you review your order.

Can I send items as a gift?

Yes! Just enter a separate shipping address to your billing address when in the Easy One Page Checkout. On this page you can also Add a Gift Message as well as buy Gift Wrapping for the order. If you have multiple gifts to send to different locations you will need to process a separate order for each shipping address. All receipts and invoices are sent by electronic format to the email address provided so your gift recipient will not receive either of these in the box. We enclose no paperwork in the box relating to the order. 

Do you gift wrap?

Yes! The charge for gift wrapping is $4.95 per item. See the question above.

What is your notification policy for missing items?

Buy My Things will replace any goods that are found to be missing in your delivery, providing a claim is made within 24 hours of the parcel being signed for - confirmation of claim can be done either by phone call or email. A missing item means that you have received a delivery from us and one or more items on your order confirmation are not contained in the parcel you have received. PLEASE ENSURE ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR ORDER THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY CHECK FOR ANY MISSING ITEMS AND INFORM US IMMEDIATELY. Buy My Things will not offer replacement for missing items after the 24hr period for receipt of goods has lapsed.
